The Arts Centre Hounslow

The Arts Centre, Hounslow

The Arts Centre is a performing arts theatre based out of Hounslow. It’s a great place to meet other people and get involved with the local community. It was founded in 2015 by Jonathan Ashby-Rock and Philip Ryder. Over the years they have organised a number of events including Christmas shows, cinema screenings, first aid workshops, wellbeing classes, dance and fitness classes. If you like creating art you might be interested in contributing to the community gallery at the centre. They’re very inclusive and open to all levels!

The Wellbeing network is particularly popular amongst the locals and is a great way to connect with others. Their mission is to combat loneliness, anxiety, depression and social isolation by bring together families, professionals, friends and carer in the Hounslow area. There are three ways you can sign up: walk-in to the centre, sign up online or ask your GP for a referral. Keep an eye out on their website for upcoming events and how to get involved! We highly recommend their festival of Mental Health and Wellbeing which takes place once a year!

The venue also offers a number of spaces you can hire for an event or function. The main space – The Paul Robeson Theatre is where all the magic happens. The theatre shows and productions are held here but it can also be hired for larger conferences and workshops. The front of house and Cabaret bar has held many exhibitions, social meetings and even cabaret evenings! You can also make use of the fridge and tea and coffee making facilities while you’re there. Their dance studio boasts large windows and natural light making it a perfect spot to hold rehearsals, day retreats and classes. The harlequin floor is impressive and there are plenty of mirrors and ballet bars too!
